Joker gets a pretty nice gig!

The Joker Philips era for Kentucky Football was the epitome of what it is like as a fan. A big build up of hope and anticipation with a big let down towards the end.

Joker has went on to bigger and better things like being an assistant at Florida and spending some time in the NFL. Now he will be able to put on his resume that he has worked with the great Urban Meyer! He will be filling the role of an advance scout (a.k.a. quality control coach).

Congrats Joker!

My interview with the newest Cat – Josh Ali

The newest member of the 2017 Kentucky commit list was nice enough to let me do a short interview on his commitment day! So, BBN here’s a quick way to learn more about this great young talent from Florida.

Q: I’ve seen from multiple sources that Eddie Gran was your primary recruiter, what do you like about Gran?

A: Love the offense he runs, love that he is consistent with recruiting. Great guy, easy to get along with, I feel like we’re close already, and I know that he will push me to get to the next level.

Q: When will you be on campus next?

A: I am going on July 16th.

Q: Do you have any connections with any recruits or players UK currently has?

A: We just started talking today.

Q: So, some of them have reached out since you committed? Do you care to say who?

A: Jarren Williams, Walker Wood, & Jamin Davis

Q: Do you have a favorite NFL player and who would you say your style of play most compares to?

A: Josh huff even though he doesn’t play that much. I like how he’s not so big and tall but he plays that way, he’s not so fast but he had enough just to get in the end zone and he has great hands. I also like Chad johnsons play style even thought he’s not in the NFL.

Q: What’s your favorite restaurant and what do you order?

A: Chilis and I order Honey Chipotle chicken crispers.

Q: Currently watching a series on Netflix?

A: Dexter and just finished Prison Break.

Q: What’s your most used emoji?

A: 😈

I hope his personality shows through because just talking to him for a few minutes, I could tell he is going to be a fan favorite!!! Can’t wait to watch him walking the Cat Walk and playing on Saturdays!

Stoops gets another commit

The class of 2017 got a little boost today when Josh Ali, a 6’0″ WR from Hollywood, FL. This comes in at a great time due to the departures that has plagued Kentucky lately.

Ali is ranked as a three star recruit on most recruiting websites. He was recruited by Eddie Gran and had offers from Louisville, West Virginia, and Pitt among many others.

Friends and family watch as Tyler Ulis is selected

The love in that room for such a great kid and a chance to show that it’s not the size of the player but the heart and drive in them. Good luck with the next chapter in your life.
