It looks like we will have another reunion of former Kentucky players.
Terrence Jones is working on a deal with the New Orleans Pelicans. In his four-year career, Jones has averaged 10.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocked shots per game. That will give UK fans three teams with multiple Kentucky players playing a significant role. The Kings have Cousins, Skal, and Willie. The Suns have Booker, Archie, Knight, Bledsoe, and Ulis. This will give Anthony Davis a former college teammate to work with this upcoming season. Anthony struggled at the beginning of last season and came back to play very well until being sidelined by a knee injury that he had surgery on March 25th. I found this ESPN article pretty funny, “Davis, the New Orleans Pelicans star, told ESPN on Wednesday when asked how he’s filling his days away from basketball. “It’s hard to find stuff to do. I’ve been thinking about picking up drawing again or some other hobby to spend my time.” I’d like to see some original AD artwork! Davis also had a partially torn labrum which he was told wouldn’t need surgery. I personally would like to see the Pelicans try to grab a top level point guard to play along with Davis and Jones. They did pick up Buddy Heild which should help spread the floor and provide Davis with plenty of opportunities to play in space.
