Kentucky Basketball: Cameron Johnson ready to decide

img_6593-1

It seems like with his recent visit to UNC, Cameron Johnson’s ready to decide sooner rather than later.

He even played a little pick up game to get the feel of UNC basketball in which included many former Tarheels.

It almost seems like he’s made up his mind to go to UNC regardless of having to sit out 1 year of play. Only time will tell.

Briscoe Is Impressing in New York

This isn’t surprising to me, Briscoe is going to get his shot to prove that he belongs and it looks like he is out there proving.

It appears that he is doing nothing but improving his game and climbing up the draft boards.

Kentucky Basketball: Cameron Johnson

usa_today_9894452.0

Cameron Johnson became a known name around Kentucky recruiting when he graduated from Pitt and decided to transfer.

Kentucky desperately needed pure shooting at the 3 point line with Malik Monk headed to the NBA and Diallo testing the NBA waters. Calipari went in search for more shooting. Jemarl Baker committed very soon after being offered and filled in some of what was missing. Mark Smith stayed home at Illinois, leaving a hole open for more shooting guards.

Kevin Knox then surprised the world and committed to Kentucky. He will fill the role missing from some of the 3 point shooting. Diallo then decided to come back and forgo the NBA draft, making him the primary piece for next years team.

UNC seems to being going very hard after Johnson considering they are trying to get the “sitting one year out if attending an ACC school” taken off the table.

According to Jon Rothstein he will visited UNC on Monday.

With what Kentucky has coming in and Diallo coming back, I don’t expect him to play for the Wildcats next season. There is however room if he decides to.

But it doesn’t seem promising for Kentucky unless Pitt doesn’t allow him to attend UNC.

Kentucky Basketball makes the cut

5 ⭐️ Point guard Immanuel Quickley cuts his list of 8 down to 4. Kentucky made the cut along with Maryland, Miami, and Kansas. He had Duke, Virginia, Providence and Washington on his long list.

He’s ranked at #10 overall in the 2018 class, the #2 point guard. He says he plans to make a fall decision and plans to visit each school again.

He visited Kentucky last season for Big Blue Madness and Coach Cal has since visited him.
