For months now it seems the story of the draft has been whether to take De’Aaron Fox or Lonzo Ball (in the Big Blue Nation) that story has already ended though. We’ve known from day one Fox was the better all around player, person and prospect, but the NBA never agreed.
NBA executives always put Ball ahead of Fox on every mock draft.
Magic Johnson has a big decision to make and it seems that it’s only getting tougher. Rumors surface everyday it seems of them being off the Ball train, but no one really knows how true it is. Today is like every other day, more rumors
Concerns are growing about Lonzo Ball’s chances of going No. 2 overall to the Lakers. Lonzo Ball had his first and only workout with the Los Angeles Lakers last week, and while Ball impressed the Lakers with his leadership and offensive game, there was a lot left to be desired with his conditioning, according to Mark Medina of The Orange County Register. Despite the Ball family’s obvious desire to stay in L.A., other reports suggest the Lakers are heavily considering other options at this point.
Fox works out for LA tomorrow morning at 9:30 am.
We may know a little more about what the Lakers want after seeing Fox practice tomorrow, or we may never know until draft night.
Will the Lakers do the “usual” and take the home state kid or surprise everyone and take someone else? Your guess is as good as mine.
