Malik Monk was on Paul Finebaum’s show on SEC Network today over the phone. He had a few quotes Kentucky fans will love.
He talked about how Kentucky was the NBA team of college basketball, and we couldn’t agree more. We love being the center of attention and the best of the best.
He also talked about his rivalry with Arkansas that may last a lifetime. I agree Malik, there’s no better place than the state of Kentucky.
With his brother being a Razorback, Arkansas fans thought it was a done deal for Malik to have the same path. The curb and NBA appeal that Kentucky showcased changed his mind, however. Arkansas fans may never move on from despising you Malik, but #BBN will never stop cheering you on. Thanks for choosing Kentucky.
“I don’t think there is a better place than Kentucky,” Monk said. “The experience was great. The best experience of my life so far, of course. I learned a lot there. I learned a lot about the NBA. We basically were the NBA of college, the NBA team of college basketball.”
He also spoke on Cal’s simple recruiting pitch that we always hear about:
“Whatever he tells you when he comes to your house for in-home visits, or however he recruits you, that’s exactly how it’s going to be.”
