Former Wildcat Alex Poythress throws down in Summer League

State Farm Champions Classic Kentucky v Duke

Alex Poythress was in action again tonight with the 76ers Summer League and came away with another solid performance. It’s safe to say that the 76ers want to sign Alex back to the team because he played almost every minute of the 2nd half and every single minute of the 4th quarter. Good news? I hope so.

His defense was stellar in the first quarter. He scored a basket in the first three minutes.

He came back in during the 2nd quarter, took it straight to the rim and picked up two free throws.

Had a major dunk..

3rd quarter action saw Alex keep hustling on defense and keep drawing fouls with made free throws. He spent a lot of time at the free throw line to say the least.

NO foul? How?

Alex never stopped hustling, the points category did his overall game no justice. He played solid defense, going on the floor fighting for balls, swatting away and stealing them.

One hand slam in….

AP back to old habits!

He finished with 17pts, 8rebs, 2stl, 1ast in 31 minutes. He shot 41.7% and ended the game with this amazing shot: (Yes, I screamed)

I say this every time and all the time, but we can’t be more proud of you Alex.

Sign him up 76ers, do this one thing for me. I may be biased, but still.
