It’s hard to find good things when you trail an FCS team at half but one good thing to take away is that Stephen Johnson has now locked up the QB spot. Drew Barker got in two drives in the first half against EKU and the result, -6 total yards. While some of that has to be put on the O line, some of the plays I saw I could see Johnson getting us out of by taking off with his legs. Johnson was able to get UK back in the game at half with a TD pass to CJ Conrad and could have tied with one second left but we couldn’t connect on the tying kick. Drew Barker’s stats for the first half was 1-5 with five yards while Johnson is 12-18 with 140 yards and a TD. I’ll be back with a post game report after the game where I’m sure I’ll be discussing this topic once again. Don’t forget to follow @ukfansallday on Twitter and Facebook!
