UK Men’s Golf wins at Wolf Run!

The Kentucky Wildcats come from behind on the final day to capture their first win of the season in their season opener. This was the team’s first victory at Wolf Run since 2006. After the second day the Wildcats trailed Miami (OH) and Central Florida both of which were tied for the lead at +15 over par while the Cats were at +16 over par.

The Wildcats managed to pull ahead on the final day of the tournament and never looked back, the Cats shot an overall +4 over par today and finished the tournament at an overall +20 over par. Miami (OH) had a runner-up finish by shooting +11 over par on the day and +26 over par on the tournament and Central Florida rounded out the top three by shooting a +16 over par on the day and an overall score of +31 on the tournament.

UK’s comeback was fueled by having 4 players posting top-10 individual finishes which matched the team’s best finish at Wolf Run in their ten appearances there.
