It was a four set thriller and the SEC opining victory for Kentucky on Wednesday night. The scores were 19-25, 25-18, 25-19 and 25-19. Kentucky improves to 10-2 and 1-0 in SEC. UK wore the road blue jerseys with a white libero uniform, which was in contrast to the white Mizzou uniforms with a gold libero uniform. The team will return to Lexington on Sunday vs. LSU with a 1:30 first serve time.

Set 1: Kentucky came out looking sloppy and couldn’t overcome unforced errors, which led to a 25-19 Mizzou victory.
Set 2: Kentucky bounced back and did what UK does best: Play defense and swing the ball. With great serving and amazing offense, UK tied the match up with a 25-18 victory.
Set 3: Mizzou was owned in this set. Kentucky blocked, dug, and killed the ball seemingly perfectly every time. Don’t let the score fill you, Kentucky dominated this set with a 25-19 victory.
Set 4: The Liberos in both teams came to play, and put on a show. Many long rallies took place and helped guide their offense to a better position. The only problem for MU- the Big Blue Blocks from Kentucky. Thus, leading to a third and final Kentucky set victory.
The two players of the game were Leah Edmond and Ashley Dusek, who both led Kentucky to victory. Edmond registered 12+ kills and 5+ digs to lead the offensive atrack of UK, while Dusek had 15+ digs on the night. This match was one of the best in both of their careers.
Kentucky got revenge on the Mizzou team, who were accountable for 2 of 3 of the SEC losses last season, costing Kentucky the SEC championship. This will definitely build confidence for this Kentucky team because Mizzou is a quality team who will most likely make it to the NCAA tournament again.
Thsi was an all round great road win for the Cats and will add experience for future matches.
