Football: Quick Takeaway at Halftime

After a chippy first half, we’ve reached halftime. The offense has had a solid start with Stephen Johnson being very efficient so far. Defense has been good for the most part aside from the bad communication on the 4th & 3 touchdown pass to Tyrie Cleveland. Overall it’s been a solid first half for the Cats. The biggest takeaway from the first half has been the opening of the playbook.

After the first three weeks, we hadn’t seen much motion on offense. Today has been much different as Eddie Gran has finally opened up his jar of tricks. Lynn Bowden has taken two snaps out of the wildcat with one being a near touchdown but he was shoe tackled with green grass ahead. Also there has been much more motion in the wildcat as well as normal formations. If Kentucky can keep the Florida defense guessing, we can continue getting down the field well.
