Football: UkFansAllDay’s Writer Predictions for Mizzou/UK

Kentucky rolls into the Missouri game with a 4-1 (1-1 SEC) record. For Missouri, they haven’t had as much success as they head into this game 1-3 (0-2 SEC). This game is big for both teams as Kentucky has the chance to continue to contend for the east and Missouri needs a win to salvage the season. As I do every week, I got the writer’s predictions on tonight’s game. Here’s what we thought!

Braden Nevius

When you look at Missouri, they haven’t looked the same since their first game. The Tigers have lost three in a row in a combined score of 117-30. I expect Kentucky to throw a bunch of different looks at this average at best Missouri defense. When it comes to defense, Kentucky will need to be ready to play several plays in a row as Missouri runs an up tempo style offense. Overall, I see Kentucky’s offense finally breaking the 30 mark and winning big.

Prediction: Kentucky wins 37-14

J.R. Simpson

“Kentucky should be able to score at will on a bad Missouri defense. Their up tempo offense will get them a couple of TD’s they wouldn’t otherwise, or I’d call for a blowout.”

Prediction: Kentucky wins 38-27

Jaiden Mingus

“Snell ran for almost 200 yards on this team last year. They have no defense. Purdue destroyed them. Stephen Johnson is too good.”

Prediction: Kentucky wins 38-14

Rob Taylor

“Missouri’s defense is just plain bad and the offense has dropped off since week one. I think this will be the game the Kentucky ground game gets in gear and the defense keeps up their great play.”

Prediction: Kentucky wins 31-17

Ty Buck

“Kentucky defense struggles against Drew Lock and gives up a few big plays. The offense will thrive, because Johnson will be more confident and the MU defense will be tired and deflated. It’s close, but still another win.”

Prediction: Kentucky wins 38-28
