Darius Garland, a 6-2, 170 pound point guard from (Brentwood Academy) Brentwood Tennessee and the top point guard in the class of 2018. Garland has set his announcement date for Wednesday.
He will chose between IU, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Duke, and UCLA. Many have thought that the front-runners for his recruitment have been IU and Vanderbilt for quite some time now. He did visit Kentucky for Big Blue Madness and seemed to enjoy himself.
“We want to do it ASAP,” Garland’s father told Rivals.com. “Hopefully towards the end of this week or early next week.
Garland had 15 offers from various schools, but narrowed his list down to four schools over the summer. Kentucky, Indiana, UCLA, and Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt is Garland’s home town school, and you would think they would lead the way in his recruitment, after all that is his home town. Not so fast though, his visit went really well at Indiana.
I do know this, Vanderbilt is Garland’s home town but he is originally from Gary Indiana, so?
My Prediction: Indiana
