Kentucky adds another guard to their 2018 class. Tyler Herro is a 6’4 180lb shooting guard out of Greenfield, Wisconsin. Herro is ranked inside the top 40 in his class by all the major recruiting sites. He originally committed to his home-state school, the Wisconsin Badgers back in September of last year and just recently de-committed from them and opened things back up.
Tyler had a strong showing at the USA camp and gauged a lot of interest from many major programs. Tyler’s first week back on the market he heard from Kansas, Xavier, Villanova, Oregon and many others. Here’s how Herro opened things back up via twitter:
This may not make up for Wisconsin ruining our 40-0 dreams a few years back, but its a start. UK is adding an outside threat with a quick release. This past summer at the Nike EYBL Herro averaged 14.8 pts 5.6 reb 3.1 ast while shooting 35% from the outside. Adding him with a sophomore Jemarl Baker and UK’s outside shooting will be in really great hands next season.
#BBN go follow your newest Cat on twitter @raf_tyler and welcome him to the family. I think we got a really good one here.
