Last game against the Jayhawks didn’t go exactly as we had all hoped but it was without a doubt a promising game. It’s time to move on and look forward to our next contest that we have today against East Tennessee State.
Today should be a great opportunity to see if players such as Sacha Killeya Jones can continue his great play and find himself even more minutes in this ever changing freshman, sophomore lineup.
What to look for in today’s game:
- Does Sacha Killeya Jones start?
- Who makes another move at the starting PG position?
- Does Kevin Knox continue his scoring from Tuesday?
The biggest thing to look for today is Killeya Jones’s play. If Killeya Jones is able to continue at a high level of play and allow Richards to take on more of a learning role instead of having to be the big man down low starting, this would be beneficial for the entire team long term.
Wenyen Gabriel will need to step it up with scoring after being less than great for most of the very young season so far, but still, Gabriel is needed to be a big piece in order for this team to continue to shape its case for a higher seed come March, and the actual feat of winning a title with this very young team.
Today Cats fans will see if Tuesday started a trend with these players of playing to their top ability more often than not, again, this is a very young team but I have a feeling today will finally be the blowout everyone has been looking for.
