Football: 3 Takeaways from Louisville/Kentucky

Lamar Jackson is Unreal

This is obvious. Jackson accounted for 372 yards overall and scored on every position he was in the game. Many believe this was his last regular season at Louisville and I couldn’t be happier as a Kentucky fan if this is the case. Jackson is able to make people miss like Micheal Vick could. He’s got a big arm and showed his improvement as a pocket passer today. Any NFL franchise would be thrilled to get him.

Benny Snell is Unreal

Trying to find a positive in this game is trying to find a needle in a hay stack. That needle was Benny Snell. The sophomore back rushed for over 200 yards with two touchdowns. This was a career high for Snell in his impressive career so far. Although most of the team gave up, Benny never did.

Bowl Bound

As I try to put this game in the rear view mirror, I started to wonder where the Cats would be playing their bowl game. As of now it looks like the Liberty or Music City Bowl. Missouri’s 7-5 record and Mississippi State without Nick Fitzgerald make this situation interesting. Had the Cats won, there could’ve been a possibility at the Outback Bowl but that goes out the window with Today’s embarrassing performance. The Cats will have a month to get over this and prepare for whoever their opponent will be. Kentucky’s bowl destination will be revealed next week.
