Last night at the Lexington Ice Center, the University of Kentucky Hockey Club played a hard fought game against DePaul that ended in a 3-3 tie when overtime couldn’t settle the game. This moves Kentucky’s record to 12-5-1-1 (2-0 SECHC) for the year.
The Cats got on the board first when Jimmy Kasch scores to make it 1-0. DePaul then got two goals of their own to end the first with a 2-1 lead over Kentucky.
Cory Day and Jordan Shannon each score in the second to give UK a 3-2 lead. DePaul would answer back, tying the game at 3. The team’s would go back and forth for the 3rd period and overtime, with neither team able to score the go ahead goal.
The Wildcats take on DePaul again tonight at the Lexington Ice Center. It’s the last home game before the semester break, so come out to the game. It starts at midnight and is $7 admission. Come early, wear blue, and BE LOUD!
