UK Hockey drops close one to DePaul

img_4842The University of Kentucky Hockey Club dropped a close, hard fought game to DePaul last night at the Lexington Ice Center by a score of 2-1.  This was the last home game before the semester break.

The first would end in a 0-0 tie.  Jordan Shannon would score a goal in the 2nd to give UK a 1-0 lead, but DePaul would answer back with two goals in the period, the scoring would end there.  The 3rd seemed to get a little chippy between the two teams as they have played so hard and evenly over the past two evenings.

Kentucky is now 12-6-1-1 after the weekend series with DePaul.  They still have a series at Youngstown State next weekend, before heading into the semester break.  You can follow all the action of the away games on the team’s twitter page @Kentucky_hockey. Of course I will have a write up of each game as well, so check back here for your Kentucky Hockey news.
