UK Hockey to get some added depth for the second semester

The University of Kentucky Hockey Club will get some added depth for the second semester push this season, with four players joining the team in January. There will be size and experience coming in with these four players.

Patrick Lehmann is a 6’5″ 240lb LW/RW from Culver Military Academy.

Max Proctor is a 5’11” 175lb C/RW and is transfer from Mizzou.

Brandon Spindlow is a 5’11 170lb C/RW that last played for the Northern Kentucky Norse U18.

Jack Kekstadt is a 6’4″ 210lb defenseman that played for UK the first semester of last season.

Head Coach Tim Pergram says about the added players and the remaining season:

“Adding depth, size, and speed for the second semester to make a good push in the SEHC Tournament and building for the 2018-19 season. With passing the win total from last, we are wanting to finish with 20 wins.”

The second half of the season starts with a home and home series against rival Eastern Kentucky. Then starts the four game run of SECHC games. A two game away series at Vandy, then the last weekend of the season is at home with games against Tennessee and Georgia.

The Cats are sitting at 14-6-1-1 (2-0 SECHC) with the previously mentioned six games remaining in the regular season.
