Drew Barker has decided to transfer from the University of Kentucky football program. The former four-star prospect hasn’t had the career many thought he would have. After playing backup to Patrick Towles at the beginning of his career, Barker finally got his shot. Barker would proceed to get hurt after a 0-2 start in the 2016 season. Stephen Johnson took over and never looked back as Johnson has been the guy the past two years. This seems like the best decision for Drew as the quarterback competition will once again be wide open and had he lost, his career would’ve only been remembered as a talented backup. Barker is exercising his graduate transfer option. Good luck, Drew!
