Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been pumping out the numbers for weeks now, but missing out on all SEC honors. This week the SEC finally showcased what Shai has done in the last couple of weeks.
He averaged 19 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists shooting at nearly 62% in our two wins this past week. With no game time from starting point guard Quade Green, Shai played 39 mins in both games. On top of all of that, he’s thrown out 4 or more assists in seven straight games.
Gilgeous-Alexander is the second Kentucky player, the first freshman, under Calipari to have at least 22 points and 6 assists in a SEC road game, Tyler Ulis being the other as a sophomore.
Shai’s game continues to soar as all of his teammates continue to get better.
