After helping Kentucky win it’s eight national title back in 2012, it seemed like Terrence Jones was destined to stay in the NBA for years to come. But unfortunately it hasn’t been a bed of roses for Terrence. Having had multiple assignments in the NBA D-League (now NBA G-League) as well as being waived by multiple teams, and playing overseas.

But with the recent injury of DeMarcus Cousins, the Pelicans needed another big man. Lucky for Terrence, he was available.

The irony in all of this, is when the Pelicans acquired DeMarcus Cousins last February during the All-Star Break, they waived Terrence Jones to make room for him. But now since Cousins is out, they are now making room for Jones. Weird how things come full circle isn’t it?

According to Yahoo Sports Shams Charania the Pelicans have signed Jones to a 10-Day contract for the moment. But lets hope that the former Wildcat can finally find his footing and make New Orleans a permanent home.

Good luck Terrence! Big Blue Nation is supporting you.
