If anyone has fought their hardest for an NBA contract, it’s former Kentucky Guard DeAndre Liggins. Liggins has been through some hard times and some crazy trades but it looks like he’s finally found his landing spot.
After his second 10-day contract ended the other day many thought he’d be looking for another team but the Pelicans couldn’t let him go. Sunday, he reportedly signed a two-year deal with the New Orleans Pelicans according to ESPN. His defensive efforts and hustle were something that teams can’t resist. He recently shut down James Harden by being a nightmare.
He averaged 6.5 points, 2 steals, 1 rebound and 1 assist in 17.5 minutes in the last 2 games of his 2nd 10-day contract. He went 5 of 6 from the fields and 3 of 4 from the 3 point arc in those two games.
He is now the 5th Wildcat officially signed with the Pelicans. He joins former teammate Darius Miller, Anthony Davis, Demarcus Cousins and Rajon Rondo.
