Tai Wynyard likely out for the season

Kentucky Wildcats Sophomore, Tai Wynyard, hasn’t seen the court since December 31st and it’s becoming more and more evident that he may not see any more playing time for the remainder of the season.

Head basketball coach, John Calipari, has reported that Tai has a disc issue in his back that will likely end his season.

“He’s tried to come back twice, it hasn’t worked, so I think at this point he’ll be sitting out the rest of the year,” Calipari said.

Tai Wynyard has played in eight games this season and only averaged 1 point per game and only 1.8 rebounds per game as well.

“With Tai, I don’t think there’d be any chance at this point,” Calipari said. “He’ll be out.”

Although this isn’t the news Big Blue Nation wanted to hear, we need to be supportive of this young man no matter what the situation. Make sure to reach out to him and wish him the best!
