According to CatsPause.com, Kentucky will have a 5-star guard on hand for their game on Saturday against Alabama.
Texas Native and 2019 point guard Tyrese Maxey will be at Rupp Arena to see the Wildcats against the Crimson Tide for an unofficial visit.
John Calipari and Tony Barbee just recently watched Maxey in Texas before taking on Texas A&M the next day. He notched in 28 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists, that included hitting 7 three-point shots in his team’s win. Maxey also attended Kentucky’s game against A&M.
Kentucky is clearly putting Maxey as one of their top targets in 2019 alongside James Wiseman(if he stays in ’19). Maxey is 6’3 and 185 pounds, ranked No. 13 overall and the No. 2 point guard in the class. He received his offer from Kentucky back in October following his visit for Big Blue Madness. Calipari has visited him at his school once before also.
His father is currently an assistant at SMU and they have been the heavy favorite for quite some time. 11 out of the 13 predictions in the crystal ball are for SMU. However, the last two predictions were in favor of Kentucky.
