Women’s Basketball: Huge 4th quarter lifts Kentucky over Arkansas 78-57

The Kentucky Women’s Basketball (13-14 Overall 5-8 in conference) team were able to put together a full game as they cruised to a big 78-57 win over the visiting Arkansas Razorbacks (12-14 Overall 3-10 in conference). Much like the end of the 2nd quarter, the wildcats were able to push the lead back to 11 before Arkansas hit back to back threes to cut the lead to 45-40 at the 6:17 mark. The Razorbacks were able to continue it’s hot play by pushing it to a 11-0 run to tie the game at 45 with 4:23 remaining. After the run Kentucky used a 12-2 run itself and led at the end of the third quarter 57-47. The 4th quarter was all Kentucky as they outscored the Razorbacks 21-10 by using a great defensive effort to finish the game to get a much needed win over Arkansas 78-57.

Kentucky had five score in double figures and were  led in scoring by Maci Morris with 20 points and 5 rebounds followed by Alyssa Rice with 13 points and 9 rebounds, Keke McKinney had 11 points with 4 rebounds and had two great performances off the bench from Tatyana Wyatt who had 11 points and Dorie Harrison with 10 points. Arkansas was lead by Jailyn Mason who had 18 points, Malica Monk with 14 points and Bailey Zimmerman with 12 points.

Kentucky will be back in action on the road this Sunday as they take on #8 South Carolina. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00pm and you can catch it on the SEC Network or on the Watch ESPN App.
