UK Hockey finishes season ranked in top 25, has two top 25 scorers

The University of Kentucky Hockey Club finished the season ranked 24th in the ACHA Southeast.  They also had two top 25 scores in the ACHA Southeast, with Beck Schultz having 71 points ( 40 goals and 31 assists) and Jordan Shannon finishing with 61 points (29 goals and 32 assists).

UK had two 30 plus point scorers in Ryan Duffy (31pts) and Jimmy Kasch (30pts), and three 20 plus point scores.  Those being Cory Day (26pts), Aaron Bickle (21pts), and Blake Riley (20pts).  UK also had a big improvement at goalie with no goalie having a losing record.  Jeff Ison will finish with the best save percentage at a .904.

Kentucky will be in the hunt for the SEC Title next season. The team is losing six players (though important players) off this year’s team and a very solid group of incoming freshmen.  The future is bright for the Kentucky Hockey program.
