The Cats were wanting to put their first round of the Puerto Rico Classic behind them today in the second round but unfortunately that was not the case. The Wildcats shot a combined eleven over par in the first round (+11) and that’s exactly what they shot again today. Although the rest of the Cats shot over par rounds, Senior Cooper Musselman had one of the best performances of his career by posting a four under par 67 (-4). This shot him up on the individual leaderboard, tied for sixteenth to be exact (T16).
Kentucky is in fourteenth out of the fifteen teams in the competition but they are a mere 5 strokes off of getting a top 10 finish and in this field would definitely be an accomplishment since all but one of the teams in this competition are ranked in the top 100. Kentucky will close out their final round of play tomorrow beginning at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time.
Be sure to keep up with this team on golfstat.com and cheer this team on no matter what because like a man once told me, “golf is hard, son.” and that is the truest statement that I’ve ever heard.
