Women’s Basketball Pre-Game Preview: Kentucky looks to get road win against Ole Miss.

In what has been a season of ups and downs, the Kentucky Women’s basketball team look to score a victory on the road tonight against Ole Miss. The Rebels come into the game dead last in the conference with a record of 1-13 and rank low in many of the statistical categories. They do however boast 2 of the top 15 scorers in the conference in Madinah Muhammad and  Alissa Alston who average 16.8 and 15 points per game respectively and slowing both of those two down will go a long way in getting a victory. Kentucky is still led by Maci Morris who is coming off a career high 35 point performance Tuesday night against South Carolina and she might be able to pull off a repeat performance tonight.

Tonight a win will help a lot for simple fact that you can stay ahead of the bottom part of the SEC and maintain the 9th seed, however a loss would be devastating in the fact that it could potentially drop you to 10th and  with a really tough home game with Mississippi State this Sunday, a loss there combined with one tonight would put you at 12th in the conference which would be catastrophic. I think Kentucky has enough firepower to win the game tonight, but they cannot let their guard down or it’ll be a long flight back to Lexington.

Prediction: Kentucky 85 Ole Miss: 66

Tip-off is scheduled for 8:30pm and you can watch the game on the SEC Network or Watch ESPN App or you can listen on ukathletics.com or 630 WLAP
