The University of Kentucky baseball team “mercy ruled” the #19 Houston Cougars at Minute Maid Park in the Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic. Kentucky’s offense was clicking early and often, as the Wildcats hit four homeruns and scored 14 runs, beating Houston 14-2, in seven innings. Sean Hjelle was dominant again, allowing only 1 earned run and 6 hits in 6 innings. The Wildcats offensive outburst was led by Luke Heyer, who had two homeruns and 4 RBI. The Wildcats will return to action tomorrow against Sam Houston State at 1 pm.
