Austin MacGinnis is considered by most the greatest Kentucky kicker of all time. Anyone who has to replaced him has BIG shoes to fill. The all-time leader in Kentucky scoring had some unforgettable moments including game-winning kicks over Mississippi State and Louisville just to name a couple. Nobody can argue MacGinnis’ greatness. His presumed replacement, Chance Poore, won the Anderson Area Touchdown Club Special Teams Player of the Year Award.
Poore received the award after an impressive senior season that resulted in some people considering him possibly the best kicker in the country. Not only did he receive the award for his kicking talents, Poore was a highly respected punter as well. The three-star signee out of Westside High School in Anderson, South Carolina has the ability and talent to be a great kicker for the next 3-4 years as shown by the winning of this award.
