#7 Kentucky Defeats #20 Sam Houston State

Kentucky improves to 2-0 on the weekend with their 7-2 victory over Sam Houston State. The Cats got it going in the second inning when Heyer homered it to left field as him and Collett scored. Zack Thompson had an impressive day with 6 innings pitched and no earned runs. Sam Houston State’s two runs would come late with one at the top of the 8th and one at the top of the 9th. The Cats return to action tomorrow against Louisiana-Lafayette in the final game of the Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic. You’ll be able to listen to the game on 630 WLAP. First pitch is set for noon.
