Kentucky Football Notes from today’s practice

I’m going to go over a few things that I took away from the defensive practice today! Defensive Coordinator, Matt House, was asked what he took away from the scrimmage and one of the things he commented on is that the players were put into situational scenarios that will only make the players better when fall rolls around. House was asked who was the coach on the field and he said when it comes to setting up the coverage it would be the safety’s but when it comes to setting the fronts it’s the inside linebackers but overall everyone has a role whether it’s a leadership role or becoming a follower. Also, House was asked how is he going to fit the red-shirt freshman in to get them some reps and what kind of role they would have in the fall, he answered by saying getting these guys some reps has brought about a good sense of competition to this group of guys but it’s a continuous evaluation process to decide who deserves more reps and who deserves less.
