Could Sacha Killeya-Jones make a return to his hometown? According to basketball recruiting analyst Clint Jackson from Rivals it may be the case.
Monday, Killeya-Jones decided to announce his transfer following the commitment of EJ Montgomery. Although there had been speculation for months that Jones might end up finding another place to play college ball, one would have to think that another big man coming in, made his decision that much easier.
Sacha is a native of the state of North Carolina and was on their recruiting board back in high school before he picked to play at the University of Kentucky. But with the former McDonald’s All American deciding to transfer, it seems as if he is back on their recruiting board once again.
Sacha Killeya-Jones averaged only 3.3 points and 2.9 rebounds on the season, but many of us thought that the young man was really starting to find his grove once the post season started.
Although it’s a shame to see a veteran player decide that he wants to play for someone else, he has my full support regardless of what jersey he puts on in the upcoming years (even if it is Carolina Blue).
