Former Kentucky Wildcat Boom Williams has signed a contract with the Toronto Argonauts. Boom pursued the NFL after the 2016 season, foregoing his final season of eligibility at Kentucky. He went undrafted and signed with the Bengals after the draft. His career in Cincinnati was short, as he was cut. Williams signed with the Broncos, just to get cut once again.
In his three seasons at Kentucky, Boom recorded 2,513 yards on the ground, along with 18 touchdowns. He also got it done through the air with 292 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Williams was known for his explosive plays, averaging 6.8 yards per carry throughout his career. His final season at Kentucky saw him go for 1,000+ yards on the ground.
