According to KSR’s Matt Jones, son of assistant coach Kenny Payne will attend Kentucky in the fall. Zan Payne was rumored last year to be a walk-on at Kentucky in the 2018-2019 season but nothing really ever has been said since then about it.
This is great news for Kentucky fans because it would likely keep Payne in Lexington for at least four more years. Payne is a huge recruiter for the Cats and keeping him around is the best of the best.
Payne is a 6’4 200 lb forward from Lexington Catholic. He dished out 22 points and 11 rebounds in front of his father last season and won MVP. He ended his Senior year with 1,282 points and ranked 14th in program history.
