Kentucky Football still gets no respect in preseason rankings

It’s that time again in which many of the SEC media members like to give their perspectives on how they think the season will unfold for all of the teams in the Southeastern Conference. Year in and year out it seems as though that Kentucky never gets any praise in the off-season and time and time again we have to go out and prove ourselves that we are better than people think we are.

This year the SEC media has Kentucky ranked 5th in the SEC East behind Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, and Missouri. I don’t argue with being placed behind both Georgia and Florida and possibly even South Carolina but I believe by the end of the year we will be ahead of Mizzou in the conference standings.

However, there was some good to come out of this, Kentucky had four players that made it on the All-SEC teams, running back, Benny Snell, made the first team All-SEC along side Alabama running back Damien Harris. Both Mike Edwards and Josh Allen made the second team All-SEC and even CJ Conrad made the third team All-SEC despite all the buzz he’s had this offseason.
