Kentucky vs. Central Michigan Preview

Kentucky starts the season off against the Chippewas of Central Michigan. This is a very winnable game for the Cats but I’m sure it won’t go down too easily, this is still a Kentucky Football team. Mark Stoops has named Terry Wilson as our starter and stated that Gunnar Hoak will see some time. Play makers Lynn Bowden, CJ Conrad, and Benny Snell are looking to continue impressing the Kroger Field faithful while Dorian Baker looks to bounce back from his injury that kept him off the field last year. I expect to see Benny rack up over 100 yards in this game and turn over the work load to the backups to see which one will spell Snell in the coming weeks. My expectations for Terry Touchdown are limited, leaving him plenty of opportunity to impress me if he can show some big play capability. I WANT and NEED CJ Conrad to have a big impact on the offense this year, the kid is way too talented to not be involved!! Defensively, I just want to see the first team unit go out and apply pressure on the Quarterback and not allow too much on the ground. When we get into our tougher games we are going to have to rely on that group to hold these offensive units out of scoring opportunities. Collegefootballnews.com has Kentucky as a 17 point favorite with and over/under at 49.5. I feel like we are definitely are going to hit the over on this one. Overall, I have Kentucky taking home the win 38 – 17.
