Kentucky doesn’t make AP top 25

Welp, looks like we’ll have to wait another week. Kentucky was not able to crack this week’s AP poll after a 48-10 victory over FCS opponent, Murray State. The Cats have not been in the top 25 since 2007 when Andre Woodson and the Cats beat 9th ranked Louisville and 1st ranked LSU. We’ve come close a couple times, but have barely missed the cut. Kentucky had the sixth most votes outside of the top 25 which is good enough for 31st in the country.

If Kentucky is able to pull off the upset this week, they will almost certainly be in the rankings next Sunday. Kentucky’s opponent, Mississippi State, came in at 14th in this week’s poll. The game is set to kickoff at 7 PM ET at Kroger Field and will be nationally televised on ESPN2. This game needs to be PACKED to show Hail State who the best fanbase in the SEC is!
