Kentucky (3-0) will face it’s 2nd SEC opponent tomorrow when they take on Mississippi State (3-0). Currently Mississippi State is a 9 point favorite with a 78% chance of winning according to ESPN. Personally I feel like Kentucky has been given no respect so far this season and this Saturday the Wildcats have a good chance to change that. Benny Snell is two touchdowns away from tying Randall Cobb’s record of 37 for his career.
I believe that this will have to wait until the next game to happen due to the Bulldogs strong defensive front. I don’t not believe that saying that is any indicator of how this game will go though. Nick Fitzgerald is a great runner and a less than consistent passer. The defensive game plan for the Cats should include containing Fitzgerald and making him throw the ball. If Kentucky can stop the run effectively and force Mississippi State to throw, they may be able to control the clock with the 3 headed running attack of Snell, Rose, and Wilson. The atmosphere is going to be amazing even though the weather looks less than optimal. If the Cats can win this game they will more than likely break the top 25 for the first time since 2007 when we got as high as 8th. If the Wildcats lose it will not destroy their season, but, it will make it a lot tougher to accomplish their goal of making it to Atlanta.
