Kentucky vs Texas A & M

Texas A&M takes the first multi-point lead for either team early in the first set. The Aggies lead 8-6.

The Aggies keep the pressure on and push the lead to 11-9 early. Kentucky takes its first timeout.

Wow! The hustle on both sides of the net was incredible. Kentucky wins the point with a kill from Stumler. UK on a 2-0 run.

A 3-0 run by the Cats with kills from Edmond and Paris pulls us to within two at 17-15. A&M takes a timeout

Kentucky ties it at 17 with a kill from Lilley.

Texas A&M answers with a 3-0 run of its own to regain a three-point lead late at 20-17.

Wildcats drop the first set, 25-19, and trail 1-0 in the match. Still a long way to go in this one.

After A&M opened the second stanza on a 2-0 run, the Cats answer with back-to-back kills from Cooper and Skinner.

Wildcats score two in a row to grab an early lead at 5-3.

Huge rally for the Cats who force an errant attack to knot things at eight apiece in the second set.

Back-and-forth here in College Station. Kentucky owns a 15-14 lead at the media timeout in the second set, trailing A&M 1-0 in the match.

Back-to-back kills from Edmond and Morgan give UK a 17-15 edge.

Kentucky has scored five of the last six and leads 20-16. A&M takes its first timeout.

The Cats have set point after a BIG BLUE BLOCK from Cooper and Morgan. It’s 24-18 with UK looking to tie things up. A&M takes its final timeout.

All tied up at 1-1. Kentucky takes the second set 25-19. Lilley and Curry are playing lights out defensively once again for UK.

Another big block from Cooper and Paris and an ace from Curry. UK has raced out to a 4-1 lead early in the third set.

The Aggies are on a 5-0 run and own a 7-5 lead in the third.

Kentucky unable to fend off a 7-0 Aggie run. The home team owns a 9-5 lead and the Cats take a timeout.

After the Cats pulled to within two, the Aggies have been able to shake free for a four-point lead at 17-13, late in the third. Match is all tied at 1-1.

ACEEEEE! Lauren Tharp. UK is back in it, trailing 17-16.

The Aggies have managed to score three in a row and lead 21-17 late in the third.

Texas A&M takes the lead at 2-1 in the match following a 25-22 third set win.

Brooke Morgan with a big swing. UK up 13-8.

Cats lead 15-10 at the media timeout.

After Texas A&M pulled to within two, Kentucky scored the next two highlighted by a kill from Morgan to earn an 18-13 edge.

The Aggies have again pulled to within two, this time at 18-16. Coach Skinner opts to talk it over.

Morgan, Edmond, Morgan. Cats on a 3-0 run and have a 21-16 lead late in the fourth frame trying to force a decisive fifth frame.

Kendyl Paris!!!! Kentucky forces a decisive fifth set with a 25-20 win in the fourth frame. Let’s gooooo.

Brooke Morgan gets us going. Her 10th kill of the match gives us an early 1-0 lead.

Leah. Edmond. Oh my. That’s two more kills. We’re up 9-1.

Alli Stumler wins it for the Cats. That’s 11 in a row for the Wildcats who take the fifth set by a 15-5 score. Wow. What a comeback.
