Kentucky vs Ole Miss

Back and forth we go here in Oxford. Neither team able to shake loose in the early going. All tied up at four.

Kentucky has its first multi-point lead at 10-8 early in the first after Stumler’s kill and a forced Ole Miss error.

Paris with her second kill of the set gives the Cats a 15-13 edge at the media timeout.

Three straight points from the Cats. A kill from Stumler. A block from Lilley and Morgan and a kill from Edmond has the Cats in front 19-17 late in the opening frame.

Two terrific defensive plays from Stumler result in a kill from Edmond and a 25-19 opening-set victory for the Cats. UK leads 1-0 in the match.

Kentucky’s defense forces consecutive errant Ole Miss attacks to take a 2-0 lead in the match following a 25-21 second set win.

Kentucky erased a 4-0 deficit to start the set with five straight of its own behind a pair of Lilley-Morgan blocks.

After trailing 13-10, the Cats have scored five of the last seven points with Avery Skinner lacing a trio of kills in the run to lift UK to a 15-14 edge at the media timeout.

Kills from Edmond and Cooper have the Cats to 20 first. They lead by three late in the third looking for another sweep.

Cats sweep Ole Miss in 3 sets.

The streak continues thanks to another solid defensive performance with Curry heading up the defense with 22 digs and Morgan and Lilley grabbing five and six blocks, respectively. A good team win for the Cats today.
