Before Big Blue Nation knew who Benny Snell Jr. was, or “Snell Ya Later”, or even before the masses were saying, “Snell Yeah”, Benny Snell Jr. was the kid at the end of the table at Kentucky Football Fan Day 2016. That is where I first saw and met the newly committed running back from Ohio.
I was going through the running back line getting my football signed by the players and I came to the end of the table and there was a smiling, energetic, glowing freshman, Benjamin Snell Jr. You could just tell that he was happy to be there and was loving the atmosphere. My Father-In-Law was with me and I told him as we were leaving that that kid at the end of the running back table is going to be special. I knew nothing about Benny at that time, he just had a winning attitude (little did I know).
The 3rd game of the 2016 season against New Mexico State is when Benny Snell Jr. introduced himself to BBN with four touchdowns and 136 rushing yards. My father-in-law called me after that game and ask if that was the kid at the end of the table at Fan Day (lol, sure was). The rest of the story you know BBN.
The kid at the end of the table has become the head man of the record books. Snell Yeah!
