Last Night’s Win and What it Does for Kentucky

Kentucky was impressive again last night and was able to put away South Carolina early and keep pouring on after securing a big lead. This is something we haven’t seen in the past seasons as much as we’d all like. Two out of the last three games Kentucky has been able to dominate their opponent thanks to great defense and consistent scoring from PJ Washington, who is emerging as a great leader for this team. Washington has scored 20 points in 4 out of the last 5 games. We have two ranked opponents coming to Rupp next week in LSU and Tennessee, Auburn and Florida at home, a mixture of mediocre SEC teams, and Tennessee on the road. If Kentucky can take care of the home court like they have so far this year, then Kentucky would be looking at a #1 seed in the SEC tournament and more than likely the NCAA tournament. Overall things are looking good for March and possibly April!
