Full List of Kentucky Football Players in the NFL Now

Over the weekend we had a total of 5 players drafted in the NFL Draft: Josh Allen (Jaguars), Lonnie Johnson (Texans), Mike Edwards (Buccaneers), Benny Snell (Steelers), and George Asafo-Adjei (Giants). Now that the dust has settled on the undrafted free agent contracts it looks like 7 others will join them in rookie camps.

Dorian Baker signed with the Browns. This was the more shocking signings to most of BBN. Not that the potential isn’t there with Baker, but, the production wasn’t what most fans would want during his time at UK. I did witness what is regarded as his best game by most, the EKU game where we had to come back to win. The big bodied wideout does contrast OBJ and Jarvis Landry which could lead to him getting some redzone looks if he can put it all together this offseason.

CJ Conrad signed with the Giants giving the G-Men two UK rookies. Conrad was regarded as one of the most talented tight ends in the modern era, right up there with Jacob Tamme. Now, we will see if that talent will translate to the NFL like we all think it could.

Chris Westry signed with the Cowboys. Westry has a chance to join Cobb on the main roster if the lengthy corner can showcase his abilities in the offseason. Looking at the current roster, it does look like there is a chance that he makes that final roster cut, but, he’ll definitely have to work for it.

Bunchy Stallings signed with the Jaguars. Stallings will get to join up with Josh Allen in Jacksonville and show his abilities in the offseason. I fully expect Bunchy to make the roster based on what we saw throughout his time at Kentucky. It truly is remarkable the amount of talent Mark Stoops has brought in or developed over his tenure here at Kentucky.

Derrick Baity signed with the Texans. Baity will join Lonnie Johnson in the secondary during rookie camps. This is a tough one for me, Baity has the talent but this might not be the best fit for him given the crowded position at Houston. They have Jonathon Joseph, Bradley Roby, and of course Lonnie Johnson already at the position and seemingly ahead of him on the depth chart. They also drafted Xavier Crawford from Central Michigan in the 6th round which could push him further down. I could see him getting cut during the preseason and signing with a team that has the need and roster availability. This would give him a better chance to succeed. Either way we will now have 12 rookies at mini-camps which is amazing!

Darius West signed with the Chiefs Raiders (Edited 4/30/19). There was some confusion on this as some reported that West signed with the Giants on Sunday but quickly it was straightened out and we will now see him at Arrowhead during the preseason. I fully expect West to take a backup spot at Kansas City even though they have Tyrann Mathieu and drafted Juan Thornhill from Virgina with the 63rd pick.

This means we now have 14 teams with UK players on the roster with a total of 19 guys in the league! Here’s a look at how it all shakes out right now:
