4 teams kick off the first phase of organized team activities (OTAs) this week. The Browns, Broncos, Dolphins, and Buccaneers are the first teams to start these voluntary workouts. Phase 1 of the OTA schedule is a 4 hour maximum daily regiment. During this time the teams are limited to strength and conditioning activities with only strength and conditioning coaches allowed on field. They have a maximum of 90 minutes on field and the teams can only specify 2 hours for players to be at the facility. The players can choose the other 2 hours for weights/workouts.
This means Mike Edwards and Dorian Baker have the chance to impress theirs new teams starting this week. Baker has to work through a crowded position in Cleveland with two potential Pro Bowlers in OBJ and Jarvis Landry. If he makes the final cuts, I believe that decision will be made solely on his size. It looks like Edwards is already receiving praise from his coach.
Other teams start next week and we will provide some coverage on those teams at a later date.
