12 Kentucky vs. Cleveland State: Bluegrass Battle

Kentucky swept Cleveland State 3-0 in their home opener in the Bluegrass Battle at Memorial Coliseum in Lexington.

Kentucky starts their home opener with a huge block by Madison Lilley creating separation and Kentucky takes a 15-12 lead in the first set. Kentucky has a .321 hitting percentage and Leah Edmond has 5 kills already. Wildcats have won the last six out of nine points, with a 19-14 lead over CSU. Kentucky takes the first set, 25-17. Leah Edmond has 10 kills and Kentucky has a .375 hitting average, Madison Lilley with 15 assists.

Kentucky 1-0

Cleveland State starts the second set with a 9-5 lead over Kentucky winning the last four points.  Kentucky turns things around now leading 15-12 winning the last 10 of 13 points Edmond has 11 kills and Curry has 10 digs. Wildcats take the second set, 25-19.

Kentucky 2-0

Quick start for the Wildcats, as they take a 4-0 lead in the third set. Kentucky leads by seven points at 15-8. Leah Edmond has 14 kills, Lilley has 38 assists, and Curry records 14 digs. Kentucky takes the third set, 25-9

Final #15 Kentucky 3, Cleveland State 0

Kentucky returns to Memorial Coliseum tonight at 8:30 PM ET to take on FGCU to finish out the night.
