12 Kentucky vs. Florida Gulf Coast University: Bluegrass Battle

Kentucky finished the night up taking on Florida Gulf Coast University.

Kentucky struggled at first but ended up taking the first set after 3 different set points. Leah Edmond sixth kill put the Cats in the lead. Madison Lilley has 20 assists. Kentucky 30-28.

Kentucky 1, FGCU 0

A good start for Kentucky from Tealer and Meyer with rips, they give the Wildcats an 8-4 lead and a 3-0 run. Madison Lilley takes over this match with incredible ball control and defense for Kentucky with a 4-0 run and a 19-15 lead. Wildcats take the second set 25-19.  Three Wildcats co-lead Kentucky with 8 kills in the match.

Kentucky 2, FGCU 0

Florida Gulf Coast takes the third set 26-24. To the fourth we go.

Kentucky 2, FGCU 1

Kentucky leads 9-7 on a 4-0 run. Madison Lilley is on fire tonight with 50 assists and 13 digs for her third double-double of the season. Kentucky has won the last eight out of nine points on a 4-0 run and has a 14-10 lead over FCGU. Kentucky takes the fourth set, 25-17. Madison Lilley records 54 assists in this game.

Kentucky hosts Indiana tomorrow at 4 PM ET to close up the Bluegrass Battle.
