LSU will face off with Vandy in their conference opener in the early games this Saturday and they are heavily favored to go into Nashville and come away with a win. Tennessee and Florida will be a great game to watch as Tennessee will look to turn one win into two against their first conference opponent. Florida will have a first time starter at quarterback due to the Feleipe Franks’ injury. Kyle Trask came in against Kentucky and did what most backup QBs do against us. They surprise us and play out of their minds. We will see if Jeremy Pruitt can keep up with Florida and if Kyle Trask is the real deal in this game and it’ll be fun to watch for sure! Ole Miss will host a ranked Cal team and is actually favored to win. The Rebels lost their season opener against Memphis and Cal has beat a ranked Washington team in week 2. I don’t expect Ole Miss to pull this one out but I have learned that it’s not smart to bet against Vegas. Auburn and Texas A&M will be playing a huge game on CBS as both teams are ranked and playing well right now. Kellen Mond has 747 yards through the air this year while Auburn’s JaTarvious Whitlow is 2nd in the conference with 341 yards on the ground. Kentucky will look to bounce back and keep it’s hopes of competing for the East alive when it takes on it’s West “rival” Mississippi State. This seems to be a battle of strength vs. strength as the Bulldogs running attack is their strength on offense while our rush defense has been the strongest part of our defense this season. South Carolina and Missouri face off in the conference opener for the Tigers. This will be a battle of two great looking quarterbacks. Kelly Bryant and Ryan Hilinski have been outstanding this season and this could be the closest game on the slate this week. Notre Dame and Georgia will cap things off in a top 10 battle on CBS and I don’t think the Fighting Irish have much of a chance in this one. The strength of Georgia’s offense is their running game and that just so happens to be Notre Dame’s weak point. I expect the Bulldogs to rush for 300 yards and win this one in a game that is close in score but not in competition.
