We had some really great defensive performances this week from our NFL Cats. It started off with the Thursday night game where Josh Allen terrorized Marcus Mariota and ended up with 2 sacks! Za’Darius Smith turned in another solid performance getting 2 sacks of his own and the two rookie defensive back mirrored each other with 6 tackles and 1 pass deflection. Benny struggled to get going this week and Cobb only had two targets. The consistent play from Larry Warford continued with his protection of Teddy Bridgewater and discipline in not having a penalty called on him again. Overall, it was a great week for the Cats and with 9 starters, I’m sure we will continue to see big numbers!

Our MVP selections for this week are:
Offense – Larry Warford – Consistent play from him and sub par performances from the other two
Defense – Danny Trevathan – 2nd week in a row due to outstanding play
