Last week we had four teams on bye in the SEC. This week that number jumps to six with (Kentucky, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Alabama, Texas A&M, and Arkansas). The 3:30 match up between Florida and Auburn is the marquee game on Saturday and should be fun to watch. I don’t expect the Gators to be able to hang with Auburn but it is being played in the swamp, so, you never know! Georgia should embarrass Tennessee and they may be playing in a near empty stadium by the fourth quarter. The Wildcats will need to win the week as they face their toughest opponent, themselves. Kentucky has to figure out if Sawyer Smith is going to be healthy enough to continue to play and if not, who is going to be under center until he is. Everyone is talking about Lynn Bowden being our guy for that spot and I’m sure the offense would be energized with him at quarterback but if he was to get hurt, this team might not be able to bounce back from it. Our o-line needs to get right and start pushing people off the ball and allowing whoever is throwing the ball enough time to go through multiple reads. Our defense needs to figure out how to get pressure and fill gaps, our secondary has outplayed our fans expectations but without pressure we will continue to give up yards through the air. Fans, take the weekend to enjoy college football without the anxiety that comes along with Kentucky Football and be ready to pack Kroger Field for the Arkansas game!
